Jason Yedwab, Treasurer

Born in New York, Jason Yedwab and his family have lived in Miami since 1980. Jason attended both Florida International University and the University of Miami while pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science.

After finishing school, worked for a few years as a computer consultant at the University of Miami and Smith Barney amongst others.  Shortly thereafter, his father persuaded Jason to consider going back to school for education in accounting and taxation, and ultimately to join his father’s accounting practice.  Jason discovered a strong aptitude for both subjects and although he enjoyed programming computers, he preferred to use them as tools for accounting and tax preparation.  He computerized his father’s firm on South Miami Beach.  A short time later, Jason and his family moved the practice to Surfside, where they maintained an office specializing in accounting, financial consulting, and tax preparation services since 1993 and helps educate their clientele about the ever changing tax laws.

Upon his father’s retirement in 2000, he took over the practice, brought in a friend, David Trushin, who already had his CPA certification, and together they have continued to learn about and in-turn to help educate their clientele about the ever-changing tax laws here.

For more than the past 10 years, Jason has been involved with working to improve the public schools in the Miami Beach Senior High feeder pattern, and is always willing to take time to help educate our residents about their tax requirements.  He considers it both a pleasure and an honor to assist the Surfside Business Association with their accounting needs.

Now located at 1108 Kane Concourse, in Bay Harbor Islands,   Yedwab & Trushin Accounting, Inc. specializes in helping individuals, as well as small to medium sized businesses increase their revenue, while decreasing expenses with an emphasis on tax savings and retirement planning.
